Went to see Surrogate on Saturday as everything else was either vampires or zombies and I have enough of those in my personal life.  Load of tosh, naturally, and disappointingly, Bruce Willis, for once, kept his shirt on.  Though, on second thoughts, maybe that's not such a bad thing...

His trousers as well I hope - unless the film was called 'Go South with a Vengeance'

Re last blog Marion, kicking leaves in the park is great fun but inevitably your foot will find dog poo.

Re romantic entanglements, a pal of mine in Edinburgh - with every quality a woman in her late 40s could possibly have - succumbed last year to the Guardian Soulmates page and found an improbably marvellous bloke and they are having a great time - they both have children living away form home and even they seem to get on. Mirabile dictu I know, but it happens.
